This 5-day course is offered to production and facility engineers and management personnel who are involved in the planning and supervision of gas field development projects. The course consists of three parts:
Part I covers natural gas engineering fundamentals. Part II presents practice in designing of well equipment and surface facilities. Part III addresses solutions to special problems that are frequently encountered in the gas field development.
Part I analyzes gas properties, inflow performance of gas reservoirs, gas and multiphase flow in vertical and deviated wells, choke flow performance, flowline performance, NODAL analysis and testing of well deliverability, production forecast and production decline analysis.
Part II demonstrates how to design well tubing strings, fluid separators, compressors, dehydrators, and gas transportation pipelines.
Part III addresses operational problems including liquid loading of gas wells, gas hydrate blockage, and pipeline pigging practice.
