This 5-day course is offered to production engineers and management personnel who are involved in designing and supervision of oil field development projects. The course consists of three parts:

Part I covers oil production engineering fundamentals including oil properties, inflow performance of oil reservoirs, oil and multiphase flow in vertical and deviated wells, choke flow performance, flowline performance, NODAL analysis and testing of well deliverability, production forecast and production decline analysis.

Part II demonstrates design of artificial lift systems including sucker rod pumping, gas lift, electrical submersible pumping, hydraulic piston pumping, hydraulic jet pumping, progressive cavity pumping, and plunger lift.

Part III addresses maintenance and optimization of the artificial lift systems.
