Dr. Reuven Hollo is the President of Aries Resources as well as Adjunct Professor of Petroleum Engineering at University of Houston where he teaches a graduate course in Petroleum Economics and Entrepreneurship.
His company, Aries, owns, operates, drills and develops oil and gas properties in East and West Texas, Kansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and New Mexico. Aries owns interest and operates over 350 wells.
The company was built through a series of acquisitions and funded by conventional bank borrowing and private equity. Since 1997 Aries has transacted over $100MM worth of deals.
Dr. Hollo’s experience includes appraisal of oil and gas properties, oil and gas fair market analysis, reservoir engineering studies (water flood studies, enhanced oil recovery, pressure analysis, etc.), and litigation expert witness support. He has appraised and evaluated many oil and gas properties for private and public companies and determined oil and gas reserves, economics and their fair market value.
His past work experience has included reservoir studies, log analysis, future net cash flow present value calculations, profitability analysis and fair market determination.
Dr. Hollo earned his Ph. D. in Petroleum Engineering from University of Texas, Austin (1995), M.B.A. from University of Houston (1986), MS in Petroleum Engineering from University of Houston (1980), and BS in Civil Engineering from University of Alberta (1974). His extensive publications include co-authoring “TI59 Reservoir Engineering Manual”, Pennwell Publishing, Tulsa, 1980, “TI59 Drilling Engineering Manual”, Pennwell Publishing, Tulsa, 1981, and “HP41CV Reservoir Economics and Engineering Manual”, Gulf Publishing Company, Houston, 1983, as well as many other papers on topics related to petroleum economics, oil and gas finances, and deal making.
